"My work is minimal kinetic and viewer participatory. I have chosen to explore the concept of the existence of multiple planes within a plane and their interaction. The planes are based on minimal geometric shapes, rectangles, squares, triangles, etc., interacting with each other.The existence of the multipcity of planes is revealed when the viewer interacts with the work moving the parts of the sculpture to create a new arrangement, which remains in place until another viewer moves and arranges the work. In effect the work challenges the static nature of sculpture without the unregulated nature of mobiles. I have found that children instinctively understand the nature of my work and are eager participants. I create for both public and private venues with scale being determined by the venue. Many of the smaller works can be considered as maquettes for larger scale pieces."
